At 1:30pm, Patti spotlights cats and dogs that are looking for new homes.
Each week we feature an adoptable animal from the Adams County Humane Society. The goal of ACHS is to find loving, forever homes for every animal in our facility. They will work with you to find the right match for each animal and your family.
Follow These Steps to Adopt
1. Talk about adopting a new pet with all members of your household to confirm that everyone is on board.
2. If you rent talk to your landlord to make sure you understand their pet policies. We will call them to verify before you can adopt.
3. Preview adoptable animals on our website. Prepare questions to ask about the animals you want to meet. Call us at 608-339-6700 to schedule a time to meet with the animals you are interested in.
4. Go to the Adams County Humane Society website and complete/submit an adoption application online.
buster
Buster is approximately 5 years old and he's super affectionate, loves to play, and can put away a can of food in record speed.
Buster's adoption fee was sponsored by another amazing adopter, so he is actually free to a good home.
patches
Patches is almost a year old and was surrendered in March. She's a certified cutie pie with lots of affection to give and an almost endless supply of playful energy.
To adopt Patches is just $50 and that includes everything!
milo
Milo is the sweetest 3-year-old Pit Bull and has been with us for 120 days.
He has spinal stenosis and has had it since birth. Milo's adoption fee is $250
Aramis
Aramis is the last of his litter to remain at ACHS.
We'd love to see him find a home that can handle all of his silly antics! Aramis is free to adopt thanks to a kind individual who chose to sponsor his adoption fees.
Paisley
Paisley is roughly one-and-a-half years old and she came in as a stray a month ago. She's a super sweet and affectionate pit bull who loves to play hard and snuggle harder. She walks very well on a leash, but she does pull and tug at the sight of a potential new friend. She also knows to sit on command and is very treat-motivated.
Paisley's adoption fee is $250 and that includes her spay, prophylactic deworming, heartworm test and preventative, flea and tick preventative, microchip with registration, age-appropriate vaccinations, and her health certificate.
felicity
Felicity is just over 1 and a half years old and is the biggest lovebug we've ever met. She came into the shelter around the beginning of June as a stray and has really come out of her shell. She's really big on pets and playtime and would love a quiet home with lots of kitty toys to keep her busy in between her naps and snuggle sessions. She truly is a treat to be around and is absolutely stunning to boot.
Felicity's adoption fee is $50 and that includes her spay, microchip with registration, preventative deworming cycle, flea & tick prevention, and all age-appropriate vaccinations. She's also great with other well-mannered kitties, so she'd be perfect for a family looking to find a friend for their current feline furbaby.

Spice is a sweet senior Pit Bull with a heart as warm as her name! Despite being roughly 10 years old, Spice wound up at ACHS as a stray. She's now looking for a quiet, cozy home to retire to — somewhere full of love, soft blankets, and gentle companionship. Spice is calm, affectionate, and ready to share her golden years with someone special.
Spice's adoption fee is $100 during the month of July thanks to our "Give a Shelter Dog Independence" Sale. This fee includes her spay, microchip with registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea & tick prevention, and all age-appropriate core vaccines.
