Each week we feature an adoptable animal from the Adams County Humane Society. The goal of ACHS is to find loving, forever homes for every animal in our facility. They will work with you to find the right match for each animal and your family.

Follow These Steps to Adopt

1. Talk about adopting a new pet with all members of your household to confirm that everyone is on board.

2. If you rent talk to your landlord to make sure you understand their pet policies. We will call them to verify before you can adopt.

3. Preview adoptable animals on our website. Prepare questions to ask about the animals you want to meet. Call us at 608-339-6700 to schedule a time to meet with the animals you are interested in.

4. Go to the Adams County Humane Society website and complete/submit an adoption application online.

LINDSAY

Lindsay is 4 months old and a super sweet and playful tabby kitten who has been with us since she was brought in with her mom and littermates back in August. She is friendly with other cats & her adoption fee is $60.

TRIPP

Tripp is a 2-year-old, 40 lb lab/terrier mix that is well-behaved, potty trained and does great with other dogs. Tripp's adoption fee has been covered and can go home for free to the right applicant.

SPARKLES

Sparkles came to us as a stray at the end of September. She is 5 and a half months old and genuinely enjoys being around her people! Sparkles can go home with you for just $90!

BUD

Bud is 4 months old and was found in a box alongside a hiking trail when he was only 3 weeks old. This cutie might have an odd-looking eye, but he can see out of it just fine.

Bud's adoption fee is $110.

LADY

Lady is 9 months old, loves people and is still learning what the world is all about.

We feel she would do well in a home with kids 8 and up. Lady needs someone who is patient and can show her the ropes!

fAJITA

Fajita is an approximately 3-month-old lab mix. She loves other dogs and has never met a person she doesn't like.
