Each week we feature an adoptable animal from the Adams County Humane Society. The goal of ACHS is to find loving, forever homes for every animal in our facility. They will work with you to find the right match for each animal and your family.
Follow These Steps to Adopt
1. Talk about adopting a new pet with all members of your household to confirm that everyone is on board.
2. If you rent talk to your landlord to make sure you understand their pet policies. We will call them to verify before you can adopt.
3. Preview adoptable animals on our website. Prepare questions to ask about the animals you want to meet. Call us at 608-339-6700 to schedule a time to meet with the animals you are interested in.
4. Go to the Adams County Humane Society website and complete/submit an adoption application online.

suzie
Suzie is just under 1 and a half years old. She is dog-friendly and loves to play with other respectful dogs! Her adoption fee is $250. She is in a foster home, so scheduling a meeting in advance is required.

Shrimpy
Shrimpy is approximately 10 years old and was surrendered at the beginning of February. She is currently in a foster home because the shelter is too scary. Shrimpy is seeking a home with no children. Her adoption fee is $50

Margot
Margot is a sweet mama kitty who came in at the end of March. Her little kittens went to a rescue for ferals, but Margot was far too friendly and sociable to go with them.
This gorgeous gal is $75 to adopt

Ada
Ada is just under a year old and is a little hesitant around new people, but she can be won over with treats, and a little bit of patience. Her adoption fee is $90 and she would do best in a home with other kitties.

harley
Harley is a sweet, 8-year-old blue heeler mix who came to us after her owner passed away. While she is technically a senior, she still has quite a lot of energy and love left. The fee to adopt Harley is $175.00
