Each week we feature an adoptable animal from the Adams County Humane Society. The goal of ACHS is to find loving, forever homes for every animal in our facility. They will work with you to find the right match for each animal and your family.

Follow These Steps to Adopt

1. Talk about adopting a new pet with all members of your household to confirm that everyone is on board.

2. If you rent talk to your landlord to make sure you understand their pet policies. We will call them to verify before you can adopt.

3. Preview adoptable animals on our website. Prepare questions to ask about the animals you want to meet. Call us at 608-339-6700 to schedule a time to meet with the animals you are interested in.

4. Go to the Adams County Humane Society website and complete/submit an adoption application online.

BUD

Bud is 4 months old and was found in a box alongside a hiking trail when he was only 3 weeks old. This cutie might have an odd-looking eye, but he can see out of it just fine.

Bud's adoption fee is $110.

LADY

Lady is 9 months old, loves people and is still learning what the world is all about.

We feel she would do well in a home with kids 8 and up. Lady needs someone who is patient and can show her the ropes!

fAJITA

Fajita is an approximately 3-month-old lab mix. She loves other dogs and has never met a person she doesn't like.
If you choose to take her home with a friend, we do have buddy discounts!!

fjord

Fjord is 4 months old and growing up in the shelter. He's extra playful, and loves to snuggle, and is super smart. For the month of July, Fjord (and any of our black kittens) can go home for only $60.

Tasha

Tasha is a 1-year-old mixed breed sweetheart and is approximately 50 lbs. She is great with other dogs and kids of all ages, loves to play and go on walks, and is a huge fan of treats! Tasha's adoption fee is $250

Phoebe, Piper Prue

Phoebe, Piper, and Prue are 3 and a half months old and were brought in a month ago. All three of them are sweet as can be and go bonkers for a feather toy! There is a buddy discount if you adopt two or more!

munchkin

Munchkin is just over two and a half years old and is one of the most stunning cats we've had the pleasure of meeting. She loves sitting on the window sill where she can watch the birds play. Her adoption fee is $75, but you can save $25 if you adopt her before June is over!
